A little chilly?

Current Montreal temperature: A balmy -26°C, with a windchill factor of minus -40°C. In this weather, exposed skin will get frostbite in less than thirty seconds. I hear a coworker whistling “Let it Snow” – probably less as a Christmas song, and more as a plea for the temperature to warm up enough to snow.
Yep, winter’s here.

Jeez, I’m gonna stop complaining about the 8 above temperature here.
And the goofy thing is it goes back up to +6 after.
But this is a harbinger of what I a hard cold winter in the east. And the seasonal forecast models at Environment Canada back this up. Damn it.
I call upon everyone to leave their SUVs idling just a bit longer this holiday season. It’s a small sacrifice to make in order to produce more of the precious greehouse gasses we so badly need out here.
