Hamas funding choke? Don’t count on it.

01.30.06

The US will cut off funds. The EU might make some noise but will probably keep the money flowing in the end. And Hamas has plenty of other funding sources.

Money’s tight for humanitarian causes. But to kill Jews? They’ll be lining up to write the cheques.

Hey, about friggin’ time the (other)Arab states picked up the tab. Actually, it’s about time the pals started paying their OWN freight. Maybe Suha would like to contribute? (old news item)

Interesting blog but you come across as if the whole world was against you. When was the last time you donated to UNICEF anyways?

-The whole world IS against us,?
-The UN is complicit in that.
-Sari is DEEPLY INVOLVED in charities, -as for me, probably last Halloween; why do you ask. (Oh, by the way, my wife spends two days a week volunteering for two local charities; how about you ‘?’ ?

I think the world should talke the “baby steps” approach. According to news reports (that I have seen), Hamas has been honouring a ceasefire or a “we won’t send suicide bombers” fire.

So, if they can hold their word for a year or some such target, they should get some help. If UN observers (or another oragnization) should see that Hamas truly is cracking down on other militants, than that can warrant some more help. As much as I am anti-Palestinian, I would be willing to give it a go if there were real sincere efforts to at least try and get to a middle ground (even if major issues were yet to be discussed)
