A terorrist went on a murderous rampage with a bulldozer in Jerusalem, killing three and wounding dozens.

The “terrorist” was a convicted rapist, a suspected drug addict, and the father of a child by a Jewish-Israeli woman.
A criminal and a murderer, certainly — but a terrorist? The jury is out. Unless you’re the sort of bigot that thinks that any criminal act by an Arab in Israel is terrorism.

Anyway, the jury’s still out on how organized the attack was, but the guy was every bit as much of a terrorist as someone like the Unabomber, for instance. Individual crazies motivated by hate and doing things to inflict panic and terror are terrorists, too.
Unless you were just itching for a linguistics debate, mind you. I’m always up for a fun one of those.
