Happy New Year
It’s 2006. Which means, well, not a whole lot of difference from 2005. Except I will have to remember to date my cheques with 2006. Not that anyone writes many cheques anymore.

Just in time for Rosh Hashanah: the High Holidays Seating Request Form.
A very happy New Year to all my MOT readers. L’Shana Tova.
Happy Chinese New Year
We now enter the year of the Rooster, which, according to the predictions on the radio this morning, is a bad year to get married, a year in which married people are likely to break up, and, for people born in a Rooster year, a bad year for career advancement. Remind me again why we’re celebrating?
Oh yeah. The excellent Chinese food.
Flippancy aside, here’s wishing all people celebrating the New Year a healthy, happy and prosperous one.
In case you’re wondering…
The Tsunami disaster has meant that we are in full emergency mode here at work. So blogging will be light for a little while.
Not the greatest blogging start to 2005, I know. But hey, I didn’t make any New Year’s resolutions to blog more often. (Actually, I didn’t make any New Year’s resolutions at all, since I never actually keep them.)
Happy New Year

Happy New Year!
L’Shana Tova u’Metuka to my fellow MOTs. Best wishes for a happy and healthy new year. See you all in 5765.
Happy New Year!
Well, I’m back and I just wanted to sign off the year that was 2003. Here’s hoping 2004 will be a good one!
Shana Tova!
Just wanted to extend my best wishes to all my Jewish readers for a Happy and Healthy New Year.
Incidentally, I haven’t been blogging much this week because I’ve been sick. There’s been a lot going on, but frankly, I haven’t been able to keep up. Blogging will get back to normal as soon as I am.
In the meantime, enjoy the holiday.
2003 is cool too
As some of you may notice, I didn’t do any kind of “year in review” or other such summary of the year that was 2002. It’s my sense that there are enough of them out there for those of you looking for them, and besides, we all lived through 2002 and we all have our own memories, important events, highlights and low points.
I do have to point out for the sake of posterity, though, that while 2002 was the last palindrome year until 2112, don’t think that 2003 isn’t a cool year as well. Wednesday (er, I mean Thursday, thanks Bill) did have the distinction of being the date 1/2/3.
She’s back…
Happy New Year to everyone. Hope you all had fun bringing in 2003.
I’m officially back from my vacation. Whistler had great powder, the Habs lost to the Canucks, and the word “service” is a contradiction in terms when it comes to the airlines. That about sums up my trip in a nutshell.

Beautiful sunny Whistler - purely to make you skiers out there very jealous!
Regular posting will resume tomorrow – I’m off to go hunt down some food.
