I hate extended cold snaps, but I hate it being 35 degrees Celsius outside as well. I’ll take cold over warm any day, since it’s much easier to heat a house than it is to cool it. Ideally, though, it would be October year round, since I’m no fan of winter, spring, or summer.
Normally I prefer the cold too – but there’s a limit. Minus 40 with the wind chill is just way too cold.
I’ve been looking forward to the winter all summer when it was absolutely unbearably hot here in the NYC metro area. Last winter was no winter at all. Every day was over 40 degrees and it didn’t seem like a winter.
