I do not believe that it is appropriate to say Christmas should be appreciated for the vacation time. Not only do you denigrate our belief in our Lord, but you verge on making hateful statements about Christianity. I do not say that I think Jews are only good because of Seinfeld or even joke about it. I love all people, especially our cousins in faith in the One True God, but I think denigrating one’s Faith for humour ought to be prosecuted under our hate crime laws. We can only advance as a civilization if we respect each other in our diversity. It is never ‘okay’ to mock what anyone believes, especially about the Sacred. Christ did not suffer and die for us to have ‘vacation time’, but he had nails put through his hands for our Salvation. Even if you do not believe that, which all are free to without being mocked, it is not in the spirit of our multifaith, multicultural nation to say anything that might cause someone to HATE. But I do not believe you are malicious, and so should not be penalized for it. Just be more sensitive. Peace
