There is no feeling quite like the one you get when you leave the office on a Friday afternoon to begin a vacation. The knowledge that if something goes wrong at work, for the next couple of weeks it’s somebody else’s problem, well, it’s kinda nice.
Normally I think of vacations as a summer thing. But after a couple of years of leaving Montreal while the weather’s nice and there are fun things to do, I decided to rethink that strategy this year, and instead depart while it’s cold and snowy to go seek out warmer pastures.
And so, I’m leaving in a few short hours to catch a flight to Costa Rica. Back in a couple of weeks. Try to behave in my absence, k?
Ooh, ooh, make sure you go to the Gold Museum in San Jose..and visit The beach at Manuel Antonio …and go to the top of Volcano Arenal..and and….
have a Fantastic time, Sari!
Oh yeh, one small warning, petty crime in Costa Rica is common, WATCH YOUR LUGGAGE AT ALL TIMES!!! And I do mean WATCH IT! It ain’t Canada…
Have a safe and pleasant trip, Sari.
vacations…… those things i used to go on when organized by school now when left to my own devices i have wilted into a weakly sick and totally ceral dependant lifeform that forays into the outside worl are on conditions of life or death and when the dog as to go poopee. i spend my days watching downloaded shows and legal tv the like. shows like Dr. Katz makes my days complete; when i dream sometimes its like a video game.
