Pick the least insulting adjective

Canadians will be faced with a wonderful choice on January 23rd at the polls.

We’ve got the NDP, who are a bunch of commie rat bastards.
We’ve got the Conservatives, who are a bunch of fascists.
We’ve got the Bloc Quebecois, who are a bunch of separatists.
And then we’ve got the Liberals, who are a bunch of crooks.

Pick the adjective that you find the least insulting and cast your ballot. May the least bad insult win.

    YOU’VE got the Bloc…

And YOU’ve gotta a hell of a lotta snow and no tires…lol.

Got the tires now. But no snow. For the moment.

Snows gone (for now) but I want a Royal Commission into who’s responsible !

Oh dear god, he’s switched sexual orientations!

    His posts were always gay.
He just needs something to take his mind off his inadequacy; I hear Belinda Stronach’s looking for gofers.

Absolutely riveting. I’m just glued to my chair watching the elections in Canada.

    We’ve got nothing actually 🙂

To get back to the vote; the NDP as commie rat bastards is the least insulting……cuz it’s closest to the truth…..and the truth is never insulting, just true.

I think “just a guy” is computer generated.

Harper needs more populist ideas to put some spark in his campaign.

He should, as I suggested at another weblog, go after outrageous and over-the-top bank service charges.

Everyone has a bank account and everyone hates banks and their crappy old service fees, so Harper could make a lot of mileage here.

I may come off as a total cynic, but elections are always about bashing someone or something ( come on, admit it!), so this time ’round let’s gang up on the banking sector and claw back some of our hard-earned money!

To boot, the banks are spoiled- rotten *jurassic* brats.

  • Tré 12.02.05, 4:36 PM

Harper go after the banks? Ha!

  • DaninVan 12.02.05, 4:47 PM

(*Surprise*) I’ve been banking with Vancity Credit Union for over 30 years and have nothing but praise for them!
As a bonus I don’t pay any service charges, just interest on borrowed money.
They introduced Online Banking out here on the Coast, as well as a lot of other really innovative stuff.

Isn’t “crooks” just as accurate as “commie rat bastards”?
Last time around I’d have gone for a TIME-OUT for the Liberals but now, I think they’re the least of the evils.
Wouldn’t it be nice to actually be able to vote FOR somebody or something, huh..

  • DaninVan 12.02.05, 11:22 PM

    Least of the Evils?! *Choke*
You’ve got a pretty high pain threshold, Pauline.

DinV, you did well to join a credit union; they deliver a much better service.

I,m wondering, though, does its small size ever occasion problemes, like when you’re overseas or out of the country?

Suppose you’d had your wallet stolen, or something; would they be able, for instance, to contact them immediately and have them re-issue your credit cards pronto?

  • segacs 12.03.05, 10:59 PM

Hey, my very large bank with lots of service fees gives crappy overseas stolen-wallet service, as I discovered last spring.

JohnP; S.W.M.B.O. Jr. travelled all over Europe and had no banking problems with her VanCity Acct.
On a couple of occasions I’ve had concerns about directions a policy was taking the Credit Union, asked to have the CEO take a second look, and actually had the policy reversed.
They’re great people to deal with.

Like is there anything worse than realising you’ve just lost your wallet, cash and credit cards, apart from a life threatening illness, that is.

Happened to me a few years back and I was only in Ottawa….yet still…

That’s why I asked the question about the reach and availability of some services (emergency ones) offered by smaller financial institutions.

And geez, DinV, I can’t believe you actually convinced the managers of your credit union to change their policies.

Just goes to show ya; there’s nuthin’ more effective than a sawed-off shotgun!

  • DaninVan 12.05.05, 5:03 PM

;)…No guns req’d, I just held my breath until I turned blue.

Hey, Ottawa’s been lifting EVERYONE’s wallets!

  • John Palubiski 12.05.05, 6:47 PM

    Yeah, DinV, Ottawa certainly does!
