Engraved invitations?

Why do the Israeli and Palestinian officials keep publicizing their meetings in advance? They might as well hand out engraved invitations to the terror groups to give them a time and place for their next attacks. Because to the terrorists, any form of diplomacy – no matter how small – is something that must be sabotaged. The only question is, who will be the next innocent victims?

The inability of Israeli officials to keep their mouths shut about diplomatic steps (somebody has been yapping s well as similar talks with Sudan) is absolutely insane. I’m guessing it has to do with a need to brag, rather than attempts to undermine. But whatever it is, it’s inexcusably amateurish.

Don’t be mislead by ‘leaks’. This is how Prime Minister’s office works under Sharon. This has been documented extensively and there are certain journalists for most media outlets that act as the go-between for these anonymous ‘rumours’.

Leaks are also not as amateurish as you think and usually part of the game of negotiating. (I can imagine that it’s convenient for the Israelis to organize meetings yet loathe the thought of actually being in the room with 21st century Nazis, so they leak news of meetings (that frankly, might not be even exist in reality)).

Give more credit to politicians. There’s a reason that they are successful (and I describe a successful politician who works his/her way up the ranks and not necessarily one who ‘performs’ for the public).

    Isn’t that the point though?
