So the good news is, Canada finally won another medal in Athens – a silver, this time.
The bad news is, it’s in trampoline.
Trampoline??? That’s an Olmypic event??? Okay this confirms it: there are way too many sports in the Olympics.

Hey, don’t write those tramploine athletes off! I used to work out at a gym where the main rec. hall was surrounded by two floors of balconies with treadmills, etc. on them. There was a trampoline group (and not a world ranked one by any means) that practiced there, and I was routinely greeted by the sight of incredibly buff women spinning through the air in front of my face doing complex twists at high speed…while I rode the bike on the THIRD FLOOR. Yikes. So congrats to Canada!
