Not a mistake

It had to be a mistake, right? I mean, what possible motivation could Iran have had to seize British ships? That was everyone’s first reaction anyway.

But it wasn’t a mistake. And neither is Iran’s uncooperative attitude with UN weapons inspectors. Taken together, you gotta wonder whether there’s something else going on here, and we’re just ignoring all the signs. I don’t know, but I don’t like it one bit.

I’m really curious about the three boats. Incidentally, the difference between a boat and a ship is that a boat can physically be lifted from the water, a ship can’t.
Hard to believe that a small flotilla could be so careless as to wander into enemy territory…unless they were dropping off or picking up, eh?

    Another hostage crisis?

Interesting DaninVan. Some conspiracy theorists are already claiming that Britain sent those ships into Iranian waters on purpose in order to provoke an international incident…

That’s a bit farfetched. The Arab mind doesn’t seem to run on the same train track as normal folk. Letting military personnel intentionally fall into their hands wouldn’t appear to be a sane stratedgy (on humanitarian grounds if for no other reason). Sort of like sacrificing your Queen on your 3rd move in a chess game.

Dropping off a reconnaissance team or Iranian resistance fighters, now that I might believe…but not at 11:00AM; that’s just silly.

The latest is that the Iranians are suggesting that there might be a possibility of their letting the crews go; AFTER they’ve milked this for all the propaganda they can, is a given.
