We’re seeing blogbursts, celebrity fundraising drives and desperate appeals for help for Hurricane Katrina relief. Plenty of organizations are collecting funds, including Federation CJA, who is collecting on behalf of UJC.
More ways to help

Sari, why do you link to LGF? You don’t strike me as pro-racism. You let things slide sometimes but I think that’s just blind-bias. Did you read any of their comments on Katrina and situation in NO? I just had lunch and their hatred and racism is making my stomach turn. Stupid fools even use this opportunity to blast `Moooslims` (as they like to refer to Muslims) with the very same hatred that they accuse them of.
Hanthala, judging LGF by its commentators would be like judging me by you.
Sari, give me an example of where I have written racist comments.
You have on occasion removed racist comments from your blog left by other poster, not me (many of them anti-Arab and anti-Muslim).
Be fair.
Having a bad day, Sari? Just think its Friday-before-a-long-weekend and have yourself some chocolate!
Yeah. Long weekend for some, perhaps. But some of us are so loaded down with work that we will be spending a good part of the “long weekend” in the office.
Anyway, LGF has a strict no-censorship policy from what I gather. I’m not quite such an absolute freedom-of-speech idealist (I make exceptions) so I do occasionally censor particularly annoying out-of-line comments.
Charles Johnson at LGF provides excellent coverage of a lot of issues that most other blogs won’t touch. It’s a shame he’s got so many out-there commentators. But then, so do a lot of blogs I frequent. My links are to blogs, not to their comments.
OK, that clears things up. Had some chocolate, did ya?
Mmmmmm… chocolate… 🙂
No, seriously, what I meant was that, just as it would be unfair to assume that I am pro-Palestinian because you (a commentator) are, it’s also unfair to label Charles Johnson a racist just because many of the people who comment on his site are.
Yes, I got it, Sari.
BTW. I was checking out Israpundit (some of us are bored to tears at work this Friday afternoon) and they link to this site called masada2000. I couldn’t check that site out thoroughly (kinda hard when at work…the images are embarrassing) but I know I’ve checked that site out before and its kinda sorta really racist…
Yep, this is enough to make my point:

H or Sari, can you give me an example of me writing ‘racist’ stuff? I’m curious.
H, if you want a complete list of the thousands of racist muslim sites on the net, I’ll be more than happy to send then your way,in arabic as well. They are a lot more hateful and racist than that site you linked to.And it’s not one or two..it’s hundreds of them. You are NOT a victim h.Live with it.
Well, this threads off to a robust start. What was the topic again…?
Dan,
Hum, wasn’t it about a certain group of people doing something good? That was, of course, before Miss-Direction got hold of it.
Miss-Direction…heh:)
I’m the topic here Dan!
Let,s talk about me! 8)
JohnP; Miss-Anthrope? …;)
Aaah, Johnny’s just jealous he’s a beastly boy.
Better than a thread-stealer any day!
I couldn’t stop myself…
Lyrics for: Silver Threads and Golden Needles
I don’t want your lonely mansion
With a tear in every room
All I want’s to love you, promise
Beneath the haloed moon
But you think I should be happy
With your money and your name
And hide myself in sorrow
While you play your cheating game
Silver threads and golden needles
Cannot mend this heart of mine
And I dare not drown my sorrow
In the warm glow of your wine
But you think I should be happy
With your money and your name
And hide myself in sorrow
While you play your cheating game
Silver threads and golden needles
Cannot mend this heart of mine
And I dare not drown my sorrow
In the warm glow of your wine
You can’t buy my love with money
For I never was that kind
Silver threads and golden needles
Cannot mend this heart of mine
Silver threads and golden needles
Cannot mend this heart of mine
