Oh really?

Amidst world leaders expressing their sympathy and condemning the terror attacks in London, we see this quote from a leader of Hamas:

The Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, responsible for many suicide attacks on Israelis, condemned the London bombings.

“Targeting civilians in their transport means and lives is denounced and rejected,” Moussa Abu Marzouk, deputy chief of the group’s political bureau told Reuters in Damascus by telephone.

Is that so? So all those bus bombings in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and Haifa and Beersheva were what if not attacks on “civilians in their transport means and lives”?

Excuse me, I think I’m going to be sick.

    To Hamas,
all Israelis are soldiers/combattants since ‘most’ have served in the army or other national service.

Glad I got out of England yesterday morning. On the other hand, England went trough years of IRA terrorism and the world didn’t give a crap.

It’s not that the World didn’t give a crap, Josh, but more like the average guy doesn’t/didn’t really have any way of influencing events, much like now. if you have any practical suggestions as to how one might influence our Federal Gov’t, please elaborate.
A poster put this up over at Let it Bleed vi-a-vis the IRA:

As much as it sounds pointless, the simplest think to do is write letters to your leaders – MPs, ministers, Prime Minister, and Governor General too. Not snarky emails that get deleted after the standard ‘thank you we acknowledge receiving some bytes from you’. Short, with one simple message to empower them to not waffle.

The media also has major power at sculpting opinions, don’t let them rest either.
