Of course, the big story is the earthquake in Pakistan that has claimed a staggering 30,000 lives so far. All the aid organizations are accepting donations, as they do their best to rush aid to the survivors.
Iraqis vote on their constitution tomorrow, as they struggle to implement democracy despite increasing attacks and sabotage.
And, with rookie Yann Danis in nets for the first time, the Habs shut out Carolina on Wednesday. Next, they’ll take on the Leafs at home… and I’ll be happily cheering them on from the reds!
Have a good weekend, everyone.
Hey! Get back here, young lady….
Ok, this isn’t funny Sari; come out, come out, wherever you are.

Mofaz orders IDF to reimpose blockades on W. Bank cities
MATTHEW GUTMAN, HERB KEINON and Jpost staff, THE JERUSALEM POST Oct. 16, 2005
Nearly simultaneous drive-by shootings, one at the Gush Etzion Junction and the other at the settlement of Eli in the northern West Bank, left three Israelis dead and five wounded Sunday and prompted the Defense Ministry to clamp down on the Palestinians and cut contacts with the Palestinian Authority.
Kinneret Mandel, 21, will be buried at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Givat Shaul cemetery in Jerusalem next to her cousin, Matat (Rosenfeld) Eldar, 21, from Carmel in the southern Hebron Hills, who was also killed in the terror attacks. Fifteen-year-old Oz Ben-Meir of Maon will be buried at 9:00 a.m. at the regional cemetery in Sussia following a procession that will commence from Maon.
Two others were seriously wounded, Judea and Samaria police reported.
As of Monday morning four of the injured in the shootings were still in hospital, two in critical condition, Israel Radio reported.
The attack burst a flimsy “period of calm” between Israel and the Palestinians and threatened to return both sides to the bellicose positions they held before the death of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat a year ago.
In response, Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz cut security contact with the Palestinians and ordered the IDF to reestablish the roadblocks it had removed over the past year and to reimpose controversial blockades on Palestinian cities, a security source said.
“We want the dialogue with the Palestinians to continue but we can’t if the Palestinian Authority doesn’t start taking significant and active steps against the terrorist organizations,” Mofaz said Sunday evening.

DinV, you should become Sari’s guest blogger when she’s away.
You could charge $20 a posting….and an additional $2.50 for every comment your postings attract.
I’ll just add comment after comment after comment under various assumed names, and we’ll both “blog” all the way to the bank!
I LIKE it!………ummmm…if there’s only you and I, where’s the cash flow coming from?
I’m somewhat suspicious as to whether Sari’s using the term ‘busy’ in the slang sense(?)
We’ll get it out of Sari, DinV!
I too wonder what “busy” really means.
“Busy” as in “I’m shopping”, or “busy” as in “this is a really great bar, so let’s buy another round”!
I dunno…
I’m thinking about ‘redecorating’ in here; you know, a few pics from FYR, that sort of thing…
