The yahoo article was a little one-sided.
Most of the article dealt with the rioters’ point of view.

Anybody know when Sharansky is coming to Concordia?

  • Hanthala 01.22.03, 4:43 AM

    Stuart,

    He isn’t.

The latest I heard is a lot depends on the Israeli elections. I know Hillel would love to have him.

Of course, people like Hanthala would probably feel fully justified in staging another violent riot – and then blaming the “Zionists – to prevent him from speaking.

    Right Hanthala?

    Hanthala,

I wouldn’t be so quick to discount my question about Sharansky. The Gazette is reporting today that he has tentatively accepted an invitation to speak at Concordia this winter.

He won’t speak at Concordia. Yes Segacs, if Hillel has another segregated event on campus for which the administration turns our school into a militarized zone, I’d feel more than justified in mobilizing for a rally to shut down the event. This isn’t South Africa or Israel no matter how much persuasive power Concordia’s anti-Palestinian donors have.

    More libel from Anonymous coward.

  • segacs 01.23.03, 1:45 AM

No, that was a threat of violence. By the way, you may be “Anonymous” you coward, but nobody’s truly anonymous on the Internet. Make a threat any more explicit and I WILL submit your IP address to the appropriate people.

Threat of violence? You really are dense.
